About the Founders
Evergreen Education is a private school located in Peterborough, Ontario that strives to provide a safe and fun learning environment that all children feel excited to attend. Evergreen is a ‘greenhouse’ where children can grow deep roots in their strengths and passions, and build resiliency for their areas of growth. We will partner with students to teach them the academic, social, emotional and life skills in order for them to withstand challenges while living a life they are uniquely created for. Evergreen will partner with parents to make the best decisions about their child/children’s education. Evergreen Education has intentions of becoming a not-for-profit, private school in the future.
- We are certified teachers through the Ontario College of Teachers and together, offer expertise in the areas of: Early Childhood Education, Emotional Intelligence, Literacy, Math, French as a second language as well as Health and Physical Education. Evergreen was born out of a search for a high-quality, efficient, meaningful and enjoyable learning environment for our own children. Once we started dreaming of what we wanted to create for our families, we thought that perhaps there were other families who also wanted a place where their children felt seen, known, heard and valued at school.

Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and French, a Bachelor of Education with Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior qualifications. She has additional courses in Emotional Intelligence and French as a Second Language, as well as Standard First Aid CPR Level C & AED . When Sarah is not teaching you will find her being active outdoors with her family. Sarah is passionate about living a healthy and active lifestyle through cooking nutritious meals and snacks for her family and finding exercise routines that energize her for the day ahead.

Kayley has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Bachelor of Education with Primary and Junior qualifications and an Early Childhood Education Diploma. She has her Math Specialist and has additional courses in Special Education and Reading, as well as Standard First Aid CPR Level C & AED. When Kayley is not teaching you will find her spending time with her family or being creative with sensory and art activities with her kids. Kayley is passionate about shaping young minds to becoming curious, life long learners.
