● Our Story

HOW DID EVERGREEN BEGIN?

As teachers within traditional school systems and parents ourselves, we felt strongly that there was a better, more efficient and fun way to teach students. We also knew that a large part of student learning needed to include emotional intelligence, resilience and social skills, all of which are not explicitly taught in traditional schools. We noticed a large gap between what students are actually learning and what is expected of them in each grade.

This gap caused students to have a lack of confidence and an inability to perform academically without proper support in place. Out of this, we created Evergreen Education as a solution to better support students, reignite their passion for learning and provide them with the skills that, we believe, will help them thrive in their circles of influence.

WHY THE NAME EVERGREEN?

Merriam Webster defines evergreen as “having foliage that remains green and functional in more than one growing season” and “retaining freshness or interest”. Our dream is to see our students take on the meaning of evergreen to its full potential – to be lifelong learners that are resilient to adversities and overcome struggles. Our students will learn to use fresh knowledge from their mistakes to move forward stronger and more motivated than before. At Evergreen, we focus on growth, goal setting and progress which will make our students more capable to solve each new problem, question or conflict that they face.
